Schumacher to discuss car finance terms with Mercedes
Ross Brawn, team principle at Mercedes GP, has announced that the German-backed, British-based team will consider its driver line-up for 2012 “later in the season”. It’s quite an odd move by Brawn, as it seems to point out that they may not be happy with Schumacher’s performance this season. The German has another year left on his contract, so you’d imagine the line-up would be concrete, but the team has yet to fully dismiss rumours and speculation.
"He has a three year contract with Mercedes, and we are very happy with him," Brawn said to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
"But if he feels that he doesn't want to do it any more, then we need to talk about it. You can't force somebody to do something.
"But we believe in him; he's an important part of our team," added Brawn.
So, will Mercedes want to keep him, will Schui want to stay? It’s going to be an interesting next few months in the car finance world of F1.
